Irene Zanchini

Researcher (MSc)

I graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Urbino in October 2025, with a thesis in Computational Chemistry carried out in collaboration with the University of Birmingham, focused on virtual screening to identify inhibitors of lipid transport in Gram-negative bacteria, in close interaction with the biological component of the project. Building on this interdisciplinary experience, I am currently conducting my research at the Neurophysiology Laboratory, where I work on the development and characterization of lipid and polymeric nanoparticles for drug delivery in Alzheimer’s disease organ-on-chip models.
