Postdoctoral Fellow

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Urbino. I graduated from the University of Urbino with a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences and the University of Trieste with an M.Sc. in Functional Genomics. Following obtaining my Master's degree, I worked for two years in the Research and Development section of VivaBioCell S.P.A., a biotechnology company focused in the development of bioreactors and automation for cell cultures employed in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) for regenerative medicine. This experience enabled me to obtain knowledge of cell culture techniques as well as flow cytometry. In 2019, I began my Ph.D. at the University of Urbino under the supervision of Prof. Ambrogini. During my Ph.D. and postdoctoral period, I learned electrophysiological techniques, confocal microscopy, molecular biology as well as surgical procedures and behavioral tests on animal models. My research focuses on adult neurogenesis mechanism in healthy and pathological conditions.
